Material region does not cut around door trim when material region crosses below wall into foundation

this is a garage. notice it does not cut at bottom of door

Such objects are basically closed polylines that YOU can edit, try that.

My 1st thought is that theMaterial Region is sensing the concrete cutout for the door perhaps?
