GMcGee
Hello, I am looking for a good tutorial video on how to create custom corbels and brackets. I know I have seen some of the videos but after an hour of searching, I cannot re-locate them. Any help is appreciated! Thank you!
winterdd
I just make polyline solids. Its works great for me. I will say I am a lot faster in autocad with all my CAD work to get the 2d shape and then bring that into CA.
MoeGia
There are some in the library that may work for you. Or may be a starting point to get exactly what you are after.
VHampton
Agreed with the replies. Everyone should be familiar with the 3D Solid tool which is invaluable. Making 3d shapes is quite straightforward once you get the hang of it. Here are some steps below. In addition, a CAD file of the bracket so that you can try it out for yourself. That's the best way to learn. All the best. bracket elevation.dwg 1

I'll take that as the highest compliment. lol Back in the V versions of the program, the ability to drag .jpeg files from the desktop, and straight into a plan file was ground breaking. It's a neat trick to this day, especially for tracing over floor plans.

GMcGee
Ok, so I have been toiling with this for over an hour. I don't know what keeps happening. Is there something wrong with the import? I feel like these lines are not closed and its not creating an enclosed shape to make an extruded shape from. column_trial.plan bracket_trial.plan
