Layout Question

I am doing an 11x17 portrait sheet for this project because the plan orientation works best, but not so well for the elevation. I have tried rotating from the DBX, but did not do what I need. Is there a way to rotate it?

Create a CAD Detail from View of your Elevation.  That can be rotated and sent to Layout.

Is it rotating the layout box that isn't giving you what you want?

...or is it the portrait orientation of the layout page that is giving you problems?

AFAIK, you can't rotate the Layout Box.  You can rotate the Label but not the box itself.

I would use a landscape layout sheet. The plan view in layout can be rotated to get the orientation you want; The elevation can not be rotated if you want to keep it live.

Yes. and #6 is a good option too, which keeps a "live" connection to model changes. Although they still need updating just as creating a static CAD detail.
