APTArchitect
I would like the large roof beams to continue into the wall (see attached image), but somehow they are automatically cut off. Any advice? Chief Architect Premier X14
Chopsaw
Looks like maybe your roof framing is too low and the automatic birdsmouth setting is cutting the rafters level at the top plate height. Is the fireplace built with walls also ?

APTArchitect
They are rafters, but really more for aesthetic reasons. The actual rafters are on higher, behind the drywall.
MPDesign
Try the roof beams tool. It will place the beam under the roof. 2
