BillsburgChief
Does anyone know what would cause this? If I try to revert to a backup file it created the same error. I tried to debug to no avail, is there another way to debug and/or uncorrupt the file?
DBCooper
Have you tried looking here: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00960/message-the-plan-file-you-are-attempting-to-open-appears-to-be-corrupted.html
BillsburgChief
Researching this, I came across another user w/ the same problem. Seems I need to download an old version driver from November 526.98. Fingers crossed
Kbird1
It was probably corrupted by your Crash mentioned in the other Thread, and typically there is no saving it , with luck you have an Auto backup in the Chief Archive Folder , which is inside your Chief Data Folder in Documents normally. BillsburgChief
Yeah, I downloaded the 526.98 Navidia driver, and then was able to copy the changes from the corrupted file and paste them into a backup file, so far so good! At least I didn't have re-draw everything.

If Chief ever crashes, as in you get a prompt saying “fatal error bla bla” but are still able to move around in your plan then be careful not to hit save. If you do then that file will not open again and will display the message you just posted. You’ll have to go to a prior archived file.
