Do not want roofs to connect

Hi Chief fam, 

I'm trying to put a roof over a deck that is next to a bedroom. The bd roof is a gable and I'd like to add a not touching shed roof over the deck. When I add the roof to the deck it connects to the roof over the bedroom creating one roof even if I leave many feet between them or it deletes the roof over the deck and only puts a roof over the bedroom.

In the Room Dialog try putting the Bedroom in Roof Group 1 and the Deck in Roof Group 2  ( Default is RG 0 )

This should force the Auto Build Roof tool to treat each area separately ...... hopefully without causing other issues.

That being that you use auto roofs which by the picture doesn't appear you are using.  But try it.

My advice is to use auto roofs for a simple roof like that - maybe you are already using auto?

There should be no need to use roof groups.

Post the plan - it will be something simple.
