Adam_Gibson
Only on one machine, when I select an object (wall, dimension, etc.), nothing gets selected on the active layer display options panel. I assume it's a preference somewhere, although I don't know why anyone would not want it. Anyway, I can't find a way to turn it on. Any ideas?
Chopsaw
Somehow someway "Show All Layers" was likely selected or the file that saves those settings was corrupted. Any way you most likely want it not selected. 1

That last person I helped did not even know that was a setting let alone where to find it.

Pretty sure most people pass right on by that one because of the way it is set up. If the setting was reversed and labeled as "Show Selected Layers" then it would make a lot more sense to most people.
Adam_Gibson
True. But I wasn't even looking there. I looked in preferences and defaults. Where it should be!

Custom_Craft
This was SUPER helpful! I turned "off" this option and couldn't figure out how to turn it back on. All fixed! So much better now.
