ACADuser
I have a client that wants black trim on the balcony face. See below the tile edge I specified. The face is 18" tall. I was looking for something smooth. What would you recommend?
robdyck
In similar scenarios I've specified a smooth sand finish stucco. Seems like the most flexible and practical way. A light sand texture will appear smooth from a normal viewing distance and avoids multiple joints, as well as the potential for buckling and precision of custom metal panels. Kbird1
I've had my Sheetmetal guy do custom bent Black Metal, like your red line for a few jobs looks nice with Black Railings.... not sure if that works for you as there is a limit on (metal) lengths Mick. ACADuser
I'm with you, the metal wrap can be a headache. I'm concerned about oil canning when the metal is too thin.

In a Hot Climate like Florida, Sheet Metal could be an issue even heavy gauge , not sure if Alum. or another metal would be any better though? perhaps ask the Railing Manufacturer for Ideas? M.
