RickThomas
In a nutshell, I spilled my coffee onto laptop keyboard and fried it. Is there a tablet available that will run Chief Architect as well as any given laptop? Has anyone performed or written a review? Searched database and forum, came up empty. TIA. HumbleChief
There are tablets that will run Chief better than 'any given' worst/slowest laptop, like Microsoft's Surface, but no Tablet that will run Chief as well as the best/fastest/gaming LapTop. evergreen
Never mind the laptop, how's the coffee cup!!! LOL I believe there are a few CA users on this forum that do use Microsoft Surface Pro, can run CA, and from what I gathered were happy with it... Doug_Park
There are a number of high end laptops with touch screens that will work. Tablets like the surface pro are good options but they are not going to be nearly as fast as a high end laptop. They are likely faster than a 3 or 4 year old mid range laptop though. Gary_M
And think seriously about getting a spill proof sippy cup. Worth the investment I would think.
Rosco2017
I have an Asus G75V gaming laptop and Chief sails smoothly on it. It's two or three years old now and gets hot enough to fry an egg on, but I bought a cooling pad in hopes that will give me at least one more year out of it. jcaffee
Rick, you do know new keyboards are available for many laptops, right? jon
RickThomas
Do know that Jon but can't get it to turn on so assuming it's fried. Also know a superb computer tech - you're thinking it may be salvageable?
RickThomas
Also, I've had very good luck with Sony laptops bt they're going away. I see lots of people here running Asus laptops. Good choice if I go that direction?
