Strange Framing Result for Open to Below Around Opening

For some reason the header at the end of the floor joists has a gap between the joists and the header.  Anyone know why?

Moving the header results in turning off automatic framing.  Really strange.

 

I really would like to fix this but don't want to turn off automatic framing.

I think it's because the beam is too close to the Open Below Room, and Chief won't build such small floor joists.

Use a General Framing member to replace that beam and it'll rebuild nicely.

You can quickly drag a gen. framing member and use the object property eyedropper to copy the spec of the beam  to the new component (except material). You'll need to replcae your text arrow.

The other problem that I had was that the joists would lap themselves over the beam.  I turned off bearing beam to stop that from happening.  

Thanks Rob for figuring this out, it was driving me crazy.  I don't know why I couldn't see that.

Lapping or butting is part of the Floor Framing Default Options................ as well as whether it is a flush beam or not

I can't use a default solution because there is a section of joists that are cantilevered over a beam.  Those joists and only those joists are not lapped as they cross a load bearing beam.
