Export Thermal Envelope Data

Can someone explain what this is? It's from the most recent update notes.

This was previously available with exporting the information regarding window glazing/insulation values, etc. to RESCheck Web to run energy code compliance checks.  Perhaps they added the ability to export in another format?

Actually, we still have Export to Res Check.  That's a different tool and I don't believe anything was changed in that regard.  The newly listed feature is a simple CSV export option to replace the thermal envelope data that we used to get in the Materials List.

Hello All,

Does anyone have instructions on how to use the exported thermal envelope data (in CSV format) from Home Designer Pro 2022?  Is it possible to import the file into Res Check?  I'm guessing probably not since the window U values, wall cavity R values, attic insulation, etc. can't be defined in Home Designer Pro.  Can the CSV file be edited for this data?

Does anyone know if RHVAC by Elite Software can import thermal envelope data from Chief Architect in CSV format?

Can't believe I missed this so long ago but the Thermal Envelope data is a nice feature. Would be even better if it could be linked to a live schedule instead of an export.

 

Anyway my question is how can we get a 'clean' export of the data? Right now it comes in with the units attached to the numbers in teh spreadsheet and that's a real PITA. Not a biggie but one of those 'I wonder why' things
