Hammer7 0 Posted February 3 I'm trying to mull these doors and windows properly. Is there a proper training video for this type of procedure?
Joe_Carrick 2389 Posted February 3 It's pretty much trial and error. I would do it as follows: Make sure the two side-lights are exactly the same height as the door Mull those three together - maybe without casings Make sure the transom is exactly the same width as the result from step 2 Mull those two together - again, maybe without casings Add Casings to the final mulled unit Basically, I don't like the way Chief handles mulled units with casing on individual parts. I find it's usually better to just add the casings, etc to the final mulled object. 1

ericepv 19 Posted February 3 Open the DBX for your door and go to the 'Casing' tab, uncheck 'Use Sill/Threshold'.
Hammer7 0 Posted February 4 Thank you, but there is no 'Use Sill/Threshold' in the DBX that pops up.
Joe_Carrick 2389 Posted February 4 You will need to "TAB" to the "Door".
ericepv 19 Posted February 4 Did you got to the "Casing" section? (3rd choice on the menu on the left side of the DBX) Another thought, if this is a mulled unit (Architectural Block), you may need to ungroup it and select the door individually.
Hammer7 0 Posted February 4 yes, it is a mulled unit, thank you!
ericepv 19 Posted February 4 Did that work for you?
Joe_Carrick 2389 Posted February 4 4 minutes ago, Hammer7 said: yes, it is a mulled unit, thank you! Select the mulled unit and then "Tab" until you have the door. You can then edit it to remove the Sill.
Hammer7 0 Posted February 4 No, none of it works yet, it seems as if there is a casing appearing horizontally at the floor running through the subfloor 25 Riverview dooor .pdf
ericepv 19 Posted February 4 That looks like a door sill. Try selecting the piece in question and check to see what layer it's in.
