Ange822
I am drawing someone's existing furniture to put into their new home design. I would like to modify the "Home Gym Weights" Object to remove part of it - is this possible? I am using Chief X9 Please let me now if anyone has any recommendations / solutions to this issue. thanks, Angela

Alaskan_Son
To expand on what Robert is showing, I would recommend: Dropping symbol into a blank plan Open Symbol and turn Smoothing Angle up to 180 Use Delete Surface tool to delete unwanted surfaces one at a time (turning Smoothing Angle up makes this much quicker) Click Tools>Symbol>Convert To Symbol
Chopsaw
Here is another old thread that goes over some of the more complex details of symbol modification in Chief. There is a video of mine as well as a good video of Michael's that might be helpful.

I have opened it into a new plan. What is the smoothing angle?

I apologize for ignoring the fact that you are on X9. Unfortunately, I can't save it as an X9 library item. However, by following Michael's instructions and using the Delete Surface too, you can quickly perform the operation yourself.

Yes, or as a Collada file, etc. It would be nice if we could "save as" to older library formats.

rlackore
I suggest downloading and consulting the X9 Reference Manual.
