NateGeno
Can anyone tell me ho to show flared siding in Chief? I can make it with the polyline tools but it doesn't look right and it doesn't work on the corners. I can't find any information on this anywhere. Does this require a work-around or does Chief have a tool for this?
robdyck
No tool for it. I believe you'll need to do it the hard way. I've used a molding and I had to make a copy of the material in order to get it to look decent.
kMoquin
Make it with a molding polyline. For this one I needed to make a copy of the shingle material and rotate it 90 degrees. Make sure the molding profile for your flare is a closed polyline.
javatom
You can also use a roof plane.

Yea...but not if you value your time. 2 hours ago, NateGeno said: Can anyone tell me ho to show flared siding in Chief? You will be done in a few minutes and can move on to the next thing.

javatom
using a roof plane would be used where you need to notch part of it away like a door or window.
