bmcpherson
How do you make the shelf create a corner? Is this an option? It wastes so much time to have to draw it myself and create an actual object. I really need some help, because I have to do this often! Thank you! using x10
Rpadge
Have you searched the Chief website? I see this, maybe it will help https://www.chiefarchitect.com/videos/watch/1537/corner-cabinets.html
bmcpherson
I am NOT talking about a corner CABINET. I am talking about a SHELF. And yes, I did that first and it wasn't helpful.
Alaskan_Son
What do you mean by "...create a corner"?
Ridge_Runner
But your subject title and your question leads off by "suggesting," at least to me, that you would want the shelf to create a corner shelf. I'm confused...happens a lot. 5 hours ago, bmcpherson said: How do you make the shelf create a corner?
robdyck
The shelf tool creates a rectangle only. If you want a clipped corner, or a shelf that runs into , say a 45 degree corner, then you have already alluded to the unfortunate fact that it will need to be created manually. If you need to do it often, as you say, then place examples of your manually created shelves in the library for quick access and easy editing. Just use a counter top, adjust its properties to match that of a shelf, group select it, block it, add it to library. Then all you need to do in the future is place it, unblock it, and adjust its shape.
