BillsburgChief
After just having my hard drive replaced I knew I would have to reinstall all of my software. Does anyone know what needs to be done to reinstall my version X7? I have my product key but I obviously cant access my old hard drive and transfer. Thanks, Billy
Chopsaw
Download from your digital locker and install. Do you have any backup files ?

Chopsaw
Good. You will need a copy of the .msi file I believe but you may want to consult with tech support or maybe someone more knowledgeable will comment so that you can restore toolbars and library content, and layersets etc. Would be best to be sure before starting. If you have a Copy of the Chief Data Folder that was in My Documents , then it is fairly easy , just a matter of copying the Folder to the new Computer's My Documents , (overwriting existing folder,) after installing and activating X7. These may not help in your situation but worth a look.... https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00001/migrating-chief-architect-to-a-new-computer.html https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00562/guide-to-file-management-for-chief-architect-files.html
Dermot
You install it on a new computer the same way you would install it on a different computer. See if this help article helps. If all else fails, contact technical support. https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00956/installing-chief-architect-on-multiple-computers.html
