4hotshoez
How can I do a materials calculations list of plank floor for a certain style of plank floor minus the space taken up by the cabinetry in a kitchen or even the whole house?

4hotshoez
Use a Room Polyline - edited to match the area that will be covered with flooring. So are you saying that I cannot extract that information from the model unless I manually draw it? All that information is already in the model, there must be a way use it in an estimate without having to draw it manually. BTW, What is a room polygon? chief58
Select the room you want and you will see an icon that looks like the interior elevation of the room, select that and you will automaticly get a cad line that you can adjust to where you want it to be then open it and it will show you the area in sq. ft. rlackore
Tools>Material List>Material List Polygon Edit the polygon for the shape that matches the extent of the flooring. Open the polygon's dbx, clear all checkboxes, then select just the flooring checkbox to assign that material to the polygon.
