SNestor
Wondering how to create a roof overhang extension...and control the overhang. If I drag the roof 36" from the face of the wall just where the garage doors are...and make the overhang 36" deep...then, the upper roof also has a 36" soffit...which I don't want. I tried to use a separate roof and made them coplanar...but, then I couldn't get a flat soffit. Maybe I was doing something wrong. This should be simple to accomplish...yes? Here's a picture of what I'm trying to do....this pic is just an example. I want to create a longer overhang segement above my garage doors with a flat soffit back to the wall. Here is a pic of my plan...shows the roof extension with a 12" overhang.
Chopsaw
Place a manual break or two in the roof plane and drag it out or use the temp dimensions and it should work fine. Post the plan if you have any issues.
johnny
Its actually just a porch in Chief. Id use a custom railing without the rail, make it a room. When you make the roof plane just extend it over like your picture shows.

It's always something. Sample plan attached. PORCH - ROOF EXT.plan

Chopsaw
Ok that's cool, I guess Steve will have two options in the morning. I don't get requests for Frieze boards often.
