DBearss
Am placing simple roof beams and they seem to follow the slope of the roof plane. I can find no way to place a simple horizontal beam.

DBearss
Sorry for the confusion. I was looking for a simple horizontal beam . Ceiling beam did the trick. Looks like the roof beam is designed to follow the roof slope if placed perpendicular to roof base line.Seems like there should be an override. RL-inc
The override is to use a ceiling beam

No, the roof beam is for beam at the roof rafter height like a ridge beam, but still horiz.. It does not slope with the rafters. if you want a sloping beam then use a rafter and change it's size
