  1. I prefer One Drive as there are so many other services they offer. Also if you use office and / or excel the files operate seamlessly from desktop application to online. Not so with google products.
  2. I will have to experiment with leaving it on. And recently I believe you are correct that there may be some other issue with speed as I have recently started to get an occasional blue screen of death. BTW I closed that project to work on another. Opening it back up again the cursor is gone. Thanks.
  3. I have auto rebuild off to help with speed.
  4. Oops. Too soon. Keeps coming back.
  5. Never mind. Did it again and it went away.
  6. So I did make some changes to my roof planes which probably triggered the cursor. After Rebuild Walls/Floors/Ceilings its still there. Any way to pinpoint what needs to be resolved? Thanks.
  7. Got it now. Thank you so much.
  8. Curious as to how to find out what this is trying to tell me.
  9. Ah! Super easy. Thanks.
  10. I am working on tenant improvements for an office that wants the ends of the walls between the open offices to be glass. I used a shower door and can get the glass to go to the ceiling but we want to get rid of the little bit of wall at the end. Am assuming CA wants some framing there. Any way to accomplish a frame less glass partition? Glass wall.pdf
  11. Ok am getting it now. Sections don't update the details. Is there a way to remove the auto detail then redo auto detail? Like an auto detail refresh?
  12. Thanks for the replies. However, Tried to revise wall and floor to show insulation and does not work. Nothing updates at all. Frustrating. As far as concrete topping I want it on the second floor but not on the first floor. Is there no way to distinguish? Also noticed some sections show second floor as wall plate floor framing and some show as baloon framing.
  13. I continuation from an earlier post I have a few things I am trying to work out my detail sections. The attached image explains a lot. This is probably a bit complicated of a project for me in this stage of my learning curve and I think I may have messed a few things up. Starting at the top The attic is not a room so I am assuming that is why I cannot get the insulation into the correct walls. Also am unsure why there are two instances of insulation in the attic wall and ceiling. There is an interior closet that opens to a loft and things get really messed up if I try to show a ceiling as it takes the walls all the way to the next level. Next is how to show insulation between the first and second floor apartments. I can show a hatch as a workaround but am sure there is a way to set parameters to show insulation. Third is the first floor should be a simple 4" slab on grade but is shows a 2" topping. Is that something controlled in room structure or in foundation floor above settings. Have posted the test plan if anyone is kind enough to dive into my quagmire. Thanks in advance. The Hazel TEST.plan
  14. Well there you go. This job was shelved for a bit and I jump back and forth to CA and ArchiCAD so totally forgot what I did. Auto detail it is. Thanks for the reminder. Also the insulation corrected itself. Thanks.
  15. How? I get one section that shows insulation - incorrectly - then others with nothing. Something simple and obvious I hope?
  16. Great graphic. Thanks. Just experimenting but the framers love it. With all the discussion of headers on plans, if you do the wall details why would one need them on the plans? Thanks again.
  17. Can anybody guide through the path to turn the white background off? BTW I did a simple search for header labels and there is quite the discussion. Curious why CA would deviate from typical label conventions.
  18. Have not ventured far with material regions. Will have to watch some videos.
  19. Oh snap! The room divider worked perfectly. Thanks.
  20. I have an exterior wall that will have different siding in the same wall. I want to make the transition with a wall break and a different wall type. The location of the transition is near an intersecting interior wall and when I place the wall break it snaps to the wall intersection. Is there a way to over ride so I can place my wall break where I want? thanks.
  21. Ended up making it out of a coat shelf and a beam. Simple enough. The library is so vast I was just surprised there wasn't one already. Onward!
  22. or this; doesn't need to be exact. Actually the coat rack would work if I could make it thicker.
  23. Working on a project that needs horizontal louvered light shelf. I found the vertical louvers but cannot rotate. They could be flat like an outdoor trellis. Anybody have any suggestions?
  24. Michael, Actually I am using Premier X8. We downloaded the Home Designer version to see if my wife could use that to work up material lists and pricing once the design is finished in Premier. Larry thanks for clarifying that process. Should work for me. Now if I could just find where I changed the default to make the framing generate in white. Sheesh.
