dshall
So, I have a client using client viewer........ or should I say he is trying to use it..... here is the scenario. - I sent drop box line for PLAN FILE , he was able to open it, however he does not have access to layer sets, he can turn layers on and off one at a time, but he cannot use my layers sets. Is there a super secret reason why these folks cannot use our layer sets? - So I then sent him a dropbox link for access to a "BACK UP ENTIRE PLAN" OF THE LAYER FILE AND PLAN FILE. He can open file, he can download but he cannot access, see picture below. Does anybody know if there is a way to access this file or is it not possible. Thank guys. Alaskan_Son
That's a standard run of the mill warning. It just means that the file type cannot be previewed directly from Dropbox. Just have him download it if he trusts you aren't trying to infect his computer and it should open just fine.
lbuttery
I realized by ver 10 that if your clients use the client viewer be prepared to be THEIR tech support and training dept Lew
RL-inc
Very true Lew- I have one builder that has Home Designer and knows that I can send him plan files to "edit and revise"..... Wish that had never come up. The plan files he send back are COMPLETELY jacked up.... and the he says "well can't you just clean up my design and finalize the drawings" Right..... lbuttery
Rob: sure you can clean them up for an hourly fee I use to go around their plan and take snapshot views of all the "things" needing fixing then document how long it took to fix each one before fixing I would ask if they wanted to fix them Lew
