How To Break A Polyline Sidewalk Or Driveway?

I am using the 'Polyline Sidewalk' tool, (under the Terrain menu) and it will not allow to break it.  Same thing for the driveway.

 

I need to break the sidewallk to allign along a bump out of the house.

 

Anyone know how to do this?

Sometimes I need to zoom in closer to break it. You can also convert it to a plain p-line and convert it back to a slab

Select the poly-Line, while selected, in the "Edit Toolbar" you left-click on the "Line Break" tool and the right after  that you left-click where you want the break to appear on the selected poly-line. If you goof you do the action agin until you do get the break you want.

The Break line Tool has TWO applications  depending on your needs..... 

 

single click the icon to break (bend/move) a line but both are still attached to each other

 

double click the icon to completely break the line ,ie so you can move a piece away or delete it.

 

and don't click on anything in between as David said or you will "lose" the break you made and have to redo it...
