ACADuser
See attached plan level 4 I need to put a DECK on top of the Roof. The Roof will be pitched 1/4 per foot toward the rear. The deck will sit on the roof & step down as the roof tapers. I was going to model this but it appears I may not be able to. Any thoughts? DavidJPotter
The deck must be draw in a hole in the roof or an area where the roof surrounds but does not intrude on the deck space. If the deck is to be stepped then you divide the deck space so by its dialogs it can be controlled as to its floor height. DJP

ACADuser
Another problem with a roof top wall. Any idea what is causing this?
dshall
Another problem with a roof top wall. Any idea what is causing this? I don't know what you did wrong, but paint wall to match siding and all is well, and then copy bad wall and move 2' to side, delete bad wall and move copied wall back where bad wall was and all will be good. What you did wrong, I do not know.
dshall
BTW, I like your AC unit (3701 faces, shown on right) The AC unit on left from CA library has 9504 faces, lots of faces, the one in the middle is also from CA library, 62 faces..... something to think about. Does anybody have any input on when there are too many faces for a symbol?
ACADuser
Thanks you Mr Hall.. The Partition wall was created as one continuous wall. It has drywall on both sides. I broke the wall as it leaves the stairwell, changed to stucco only on both sides which made the wall off center. Then I used the center tool to move it. That is when the problems started. Your fix worked for me. Thanks Interesting about the AC units. How do you find out how many faces it has?

Alaskan_Son
Another problem with a roof top wall. Any idea what is causing this? I'm away from my computer now, but double check that wall definition and see what happens if you turn on your wall framing layer.
Alaskan_Son
Interesting about the AC units. How do you find out how many faces it has? Click the little Open Symbol icon and it's in there.
Alaskan_Son
Just got back to my computer. Select that wall, click on the Materials tab, click on the Interior Wall Surface material, click Select Material, and then check Use Default Material. There is something funny going on with the material definition for that wall. Not sure how it got that way though.
