  1. Looks good. You might try playing with the different terrain elevation data input methods to see how they effect your terrain. You might try an elevation line or spline to set the top and bottom of the hill, then putting in an elevation region to form a level pad in front of where you want the entrance to the cellar.
  2. Adjust your terrain... see snip. BTW... Is your terrain really that steep?...that's a cliff not a steep hill!
  3. I've used Coronado's Split Fieldstone before... copy and scale it up... not too shabby
  4. I assume you must be somewhere in the middle though?... Your template has more pages than you'll usually need, but not enough that deleting unused pages is more work than creating a few new ones?
  5. That is correct Eric. I had seen this info prior in Kevin's question below, but until today I did not understand the answers. Only needs to be done once though... that is I think, as long as you set up enough pages, per my follow-up question to Ryan above).
  6. Thank you Ryan... just figured that out! So now that I see I need to add these page# designation to all my template pages, I have another question for you. Let's say your template has 3 G-pages and 12 A-pages and 10 S-pages, and your newest project needs 5 G-pages and 20 A-pages and 15 S-pages. Am I correct to assume that you would have to use Insert Page (before or after) X number of times in the right places, and then manually go into the Edit Page Info for each of the new pages and put in the correct page numbering info ? Maybe best to just get it over with in the first setup and add way more pages than I think I'll ever need?
  7. Okay... using the Edit Page Info method, I see that I can simply just put in the entire page number I want, e.g.: A-12.1, but use A-# designation before and after that and I'll get what I want. I liked my A%page% setup because I didn't have to do anything except on page 0... but the limitations are now obvious.
  8. Dang-it!... sorry. I knew I should've tried it out first....didn't have time. Faulty memory. I guess it would've just been too easy if you could control it with the North Arrow pointer. So the only two solutions I guess are using Photoshop or similar to create a new seam where East would be located, or do as I think Michael suggested which was to basically build a giant circular billboard around the model with a very tiny seam in it.
  9. Thanks guys. The way I've been working... which I've just learned from Michael is wrong (of course)... is that on Layout page 0 I've been using the macro A%page%... which automatically numbers my pages A1-A100 ad infinitum. I've known I can do better, but have prioritized other things. So now that you know that, my question was specifically this: If for example I have pages A1 - A15 and I need to add a new page between pages A12 and A13, but I want to keep what's on all the existing pages (A13 - A15) the same, I would like to insert a page A12.1. So...from Michael, and now you (though you've not specifically said it) it sounds like you're also saying I should be using the Edit Page Information Dbx.... am I correct? Still... I'm just back from lunch and I've only just had 5-minutes to play with using Edit Page Info...but I'm not there yet...
  10. Without manually numbering all of my pages, is there a way to insert an XX.1 page into a set while keeping all existing page numbers set?
  11. I noticed Chop included a link to an older thread about this, but you seem to be saying it didn't work. My recollection was there were numerous ideas in that thread so I don't know what you tried. My memory is that the seam in your 360 pano will automatically be at north. So if the seam in your pano is not actually at north, but you know how far off it is from north, you might try setting north in your model to be whatever it needs to be to get your pano in the right orientation. To do this you do not need to rotate the model, but simply in the CAD / Lines pull-down go to North Pointer and set it accordingly.
  12. You need to select your terrain and in the General tab un-check 'Hide Terrain Intersected by Building'. Then you need to manually cut a hole in the terrain for your walk-out portion.
  13. I'm glad you mention this Dermot. This immediately came to mind as I read this thread. I do very much like that control of converting the polyline, however I do wish (as per a recent suggestion/request) that we could set the default action of that control. In my case I would want it set so that the newly created solid would stay on the same layer as the polyline it was created from. This is very similar to the control that Robert is asking for.
  14. Thanks Mike. Glad you could use it! I've been looking for an excuse to try my hand at this process.
  15. Maybe set it up on YouTube and then post the link
  16. That's actually not bad at all in my book of acceptability.
  17. Cheryl... I've set the stretch zones on the door, so the frame remains normal. Extreme dimension changes will still warp the muntins to a degree, but I think this is the best that can be done. Cabinet Door_KraftMaid_Raleigh.calibz
  18. Thx again for the tip Michael. Anyone following this who's interested... here's a great vid Chief did for stretch planes and zones https://www.chiefarchitect.com/videos/watch/925/stretch-zones-and-planes.html
  19. Ahaa... thanks. I'll have to look into that. I've seen several videos and documents which mention stretch planes, this is the first I recall hearing of a stretch zone. Makes sense. This was my first dabble in creating a new door symbol.
  20. I thought it was deviled ham in the middle... ;\
  21. Okay... so another way I could see it possibly working while leaving the foam in the main layer, would be for you to create a new wall definition for the rest of the 'normal' foundation which has X" of insulation air gap on both sides of the concrete to match the foam on the ICF wall.
  22. Also, maybe put the inner layer of foam on the Interior layer...
  23. Robert... no time to futz with this this-morning, but tempting. Still I had a quick look at the wall def. and I have to wonder if it might help if you put the outer layer of foam on the Exterior layer instead of Main layer?
  24. The knowledge garnered to do what I did there was primarily taken from a video Michael (Alaskan_Son) had already done about copying existing symbols and deleting surfaces to make a new symbol. You may notice a short-coming to the door though... As far as I can tell this particular door style poses an impossible challenge to truly do it properly as a single properly scalable symbol. There is no way to create stretch planes that would allow the door frames to stay fixed to their proper width. They scale uniformly with the entire door. The unique design of the panel needs to scale uniformly. The only way I think it can be done would be to have two piece doors. One piece being just a glass panel door with no design which scales around a vertical and horizontal stretch plane, then a separate panel with the design which scales uniformly.
  25. Ahh... Let's take-2 on that... Here it is again...with glass this time. Cabinet Door_KraftMaid_Raleigh.calibz
