  1. I just built a new computer with what I thought was top of the line parts, however my CPU maxes out whenever I raytrace and now it causes my computer to crash. I can't figure out what the heck the problem is. Below is a list of the parts I purchased. Any advise is appreciated. What could be causing the problem here? UPDATE: The ram won't clock higher than 2133mhz. They can go up to 3600mhz but when I push them higher than 2133mhz the system becomes unstable.
  2. @Cheryl_C_Crane Is around the Huntsville area I believe. Drop her a message.
  3. Thanks to all who responded so far. Javatom, you were right. I'm fussing around with these walls trying not to encroach into the study too much but it's not working in my favor. Lol. Eric. That cad line idea is extremely helpful. Thank you. Thank you for also attaching the plan you created yours in. It really helped. As soon as I figure out these walls, I'll post something a little later. You guys are awesome!
  4. A builder I'm working with sent me a pic of the stairs in his personal home and asked me to put the same set of stairs into his new spec. I've been working with Chief for many many MANY years and the stairs tool has always kicked my a**. They never do what I want them to do. I usually just draw them in with cad lines. He wants these modeled in Chief in 3D. I'm assuming this set of stairs can be modeled in Chief using a combination of curved stairs and winders?? Anyone know of an easy way to model these stairs? Would anyone be willing to do an educational video on this so other people down the road will have something to look back on if they find themselves in a similar situation?
  5. Let me touch on that a little more. Double Click on the garage door. In the "Exterior Door Specification" box, click the "Arch" tab. Then select "Dogear Arch" like Eric said, and type in a value... something like 12". Then Click "okay". That should do it!
  6. I have to run to a meeting real quick and when I get back I'll take a look at it. If someone doesn't help you by then, I can give it a try. I take it you're using automatic roofs? Have you tried manually editing the roof planes? I give that a go!
  7. Attach the plan and I can fix it in a jif.
  8. @Alaskan_Son Michael, you never cease to amaze me! Thank you for being so selfless and such a valuable member of this forum!
  9. Michael is a valuable asset around here. He's helped me out quite a few times and I enjoy working with him. I wold love to see a video series by Michael. Maybe someday or by commission. Thanks Michael. I have to ask though... at the end of your video, did someone get her a towel?
  10. Found another in Chief Architect's Bonus catalog. It's under: Kitchen Styles > Traditional > Materials > Travertine.
  11. Found this in DalTile under ceramic. Sort of a similar pattern. Maybe not the color you were looking for, but close in pattern.
  12. See if this is what you were going for. PAT 3 ROOF RJD MOD.plan
  13. That fireplace was gorgeous! Thank you for the symbol!
  14. What is with these Grinch hands she has going on here?! The minute I saw this I had to say something. This gif. is a running joke in my house.

  16. They have a bonus catalog called Lighting No.5. Look under "Surface Lights".
  17. This is probably a very simple roof design that would only take a few minutes to create. I have some time tonight to look at it in more detail with you if you'd like. Do you have a pic of what you're trying to achieve? Is this a existing structure? Feel free to drop me an email rjddesignconcepts@gmail.com
  18. I sent an exterior elevation to the layout page that had "shadows". This strange column of "shadow" appeared a few times. I masked it with a poliline. Has anyone seen this?
  19. Eric, what did you use to make this detail in the gable?
  20. No need to thank me, thank Michael @Alaskan_Son. He proven to be a reliable source of help to me in the past.
  21. @CJSpud and @DavidJames A while back Michael @Alaskan_Son took the time to draw one up for me. Here is the post. He took the time out of his day to do that for me and I was very thankful. If this works or is what you're looking for, send him a little "gift" via his pay pal.
