  1. Excellent!!! Got it done. Thanks!!!
  2. Ok. I will work on adding these. Can you tell me what the names are of the icons when you hover over them?
  3. And of course it would work out that I don't have the icon available on my toolbar that you are showing. Suggestions?
  4. Wow, that is different. Thanks for being there and helping me figure it out.
  5. Thanks, I changed the default but it is still showing solid lines where I have the reference set showing dashed lines.
  6. Where do I find this now? I have switched from x10 to x12 and can't find how to I can set the reference display layer set to the one I prefer to use that has all the walls dashed
  7. Awesome!!!! thanks so much!!!
  8. Good Morning! Anyone have a similar symbol or know how I can make a window like this one? Thanks!!!
  9. Solved see below: K. I did something stupid and can't figure out how to get the layer display dialog box back to its normal size. Minimizing didn't work as this is the minimized size. Can someone tell me what I need to do to get it back to its smaller size. Well I figured it out before I posted my question, and thought I should post it in case I or someone else runs into this again. Maximize the dialog, and then there is a small area in the right lower corner that will allow you to drag the corner up and in with your mouse to the size you want.
  10. Thanks everyone for your guidance. I have breadcrumbs to follow now.
  11. For me, sometimes the frieze boards show up and sometimes they don't or are only partially there. I am super happy that most of the gables have the auto frieze working properly, That just leaves the two front gables for me to deal with, thankfully.
  12. You are correct and solids may be the way I end up going. Since I had time and other work to do, I want to learn if there is a way that is available using the moldings. I love learning shortcuts and this is the place to find them. Hope you Thanksgiving week is terrific!
  13. True, but that takes more time to get it right. I may have to resort to that if an answer doesn't come in while I am working on other parts of the project. Just would rather have options available on how the molding is cut.
  14. Is there a way to have the exterior molding to have a plumb cut or ,alternatively, a horizontal cut that follows the beam line? I drew a line and changed it into a 3d molding polyline.
  15. Thanks for your help, guys. It got me thinking another direction. I had changed the default, but it didn't change the planking on the deck that was already built. I did get it to work by choosing the deck room on the plan and changing the plank direction on the deck to 90 degrees. I guess the default change would have worked for a new deck, but not an existing deck.
  16. I need the planking to go the at 90 degrees to its current orientation. I have gone to the dialog for rooms and changed the plank direction from 0 to 90 degrees. I have gone to the foundation page and changed the direction of the joists to run at 0 degrees instead of the 90 degrees it wants to run. It will change the joists but not the planks. Auto deck framing is on. I remember being able to work this out before, but for some reason it escapes me now. Help is greatly appreciated.
  17. Perfect! That is my answer. Thanks Don. I didn't know that existed.
  18. Is there a way to globally change layout box on .layout to point to a new location for the file? At times I need to move my drawings into a different location to make everything more organized. Sometimes when I do this the .layout page will point to the .plan that is in its same folder, sometimes it will give me a dialog upon opening the .layout page that lets me know it can't find the .plan file and lets me browse to where it is located, and sometimes it points to the original folder where the .plan file resided. In the last scenario, is there a way have the entire layout have all the layout boxes point to the .plan in the new folder without having to go and select each layout box individually and have it point to it, I am working in x10 but have x11 available. Thanks!
  19. Perfect! Just what I wanted and couldn't remember how to do. Thanks!!!!
  20. Thanks for trying to help. I wasn't clear. The color is viewable on the layout page but it won't print with the shading that is there on the floor plan view. It just gives the wall lines with out the shading. Sometimes I want it to have the shading showing when it is printed.
  21. How can I get the wall color to show up when it prints. It used to do it but I must have turned something off on the layout page and can't find how to turn it back on now. Thanks folks!!
  22. you guys are right.... I have just been accustom to using the active layer set. I will give this way a try.
  23. figured it out check the box on make copy of active layerset. Seems like this should be default mode fore CA out of the box.
