  2. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong when it comes to the full roof returns on these gables. Trying to get it to return something like in the picture. Thanks!!!
  3. YAY!!! its so rewarding when you figure something that confused you out. Edited it in notepad and I am good to go. Thanks for your great guidance!
  4. oh I was looking through windows explorer to find it. Thanks, I will do this instead.
  5. i cant locate the .pat file on my computer.
  6. I was able to download Eric's but it was pure white with no lines. I also downloaded and installed Mick's and saw there was 8", 10" and 12" available. All look very nice but I need a 24" and when I try to adjust the width it makes the batten to wide. Tried to find the .pat files and edit it in notepad, but didn't have any luck finding it.
  7. Sorry for the delayed response. Went on to another project. Thanks Eric and Mick. I can't tell you how wonderful it is to have this forum with such willing and helpful people. It and you rock!!!!
  8. Using the adjust material definition tool, I was able to change the width of the lap siding from 4" to 8" but can't seem to find a way to make board and batten 2' on center instead of 1' on center. Any ideas of what I should do?
  9. Are you guys disabling the windows automatic updates to avoid getting the update causing reboot errors, that is update Cumulative Update KB4056892 Windows 10 v1709 Build 16299.192 which is for the Meltdown and Spectre Issues.
  10. 11. Probably the Driver has been Updated again by M$ if you didn't apply the fix I posted in Eric's Link (Post#3) to stop Driver Updates from MicroSoft. KBIRD I tried to install the May version but got the message that it isn't compatible with Windows 10 version I am using and couldn't find compatible hardware. ;( edited: Nevermind, the driver link I clicked on was for windows 8 64 bit and I needed windows 10 64 bit.
  12. Oh no! Another one coming :(Thanks for letting me know. Will look into the links.
  13. Heads up. The new update from windows took hours to install. I saw online that some folks were having problems rebooting their computers after the install. Thank goodness that wasn't me as it requires you to take your computer in to be repaired and Geek Squad first appointment to just bring in the computer wasn't until Monday at 11:00. Then you have to wait to have someone actually get around to working on it. I was able to reboot, thank goodness. Anyways, after the install, I have noticed that the labels on doors and windows are not able to be edited. Link turns a blue color but doesn't open. One time the library froze up when I did a search. Any ideas? Could it be the graphics driver got updated again? This caused me the library issue before on a different update. Thanks!!!
  14. Wonderful, I will give it a go. Thanks!!!!
  15. Thanks for checking with Tech Support. i think there was a Windows 10 update about the time mine started acting crazy. I used to think the problem had to do with the library browser because it would freeze up once I selected something to put into the drawing. That isn't happening anymore, thankfully. Decided to submit to tech support, as well, so they wouldn't think it was just you having the issue.
  16. More info, I have shutdown the computer and rebooted several times and still have this issue.
  17. Anyone else having problems with x9 semi- locking up when you go to CLOSE a 3d overview or floor camera? I say semi locking up because the file can still be saved and the various tools are available, but the mouse locator disappears in the drawing window. I can't really use anything. The little white mouse arrow is only visible around the edges of the drawing space and disappears inside the drawing space. 3d views are beautiful and open quickly, don't know why they won't close. They aren't tied to a layout view. Only solution is to shut down CA and reopen it and then your good to go until the next time you try to shut down a 3d camera view. Been happening for about a week and a half.
  18. I found what I needed. There was a break line option down at the bottom where there you find the automatic stairwell.
  19. When I select a stair, open the DBI, then try to select the Stair Breakline from the menu, it won't open, so I can't get any of the options available mentioned in this article: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-03036/modifying-the-display-of-stairs-in-plan-view.html under the Break Line section. Anyone know what might be wrong? I am using x9.
  20. Goodness! You are right, it's there. It was just way at the bottom so I didn't notice it. Thanks!
  21. Does anyone know how to set a new paper size in the .pdf printer? Not talking about drawing size but the actual paper size the drawing is printed onto. Need 24x30" paper size and it isn't available. Thanks!!!
  22. There must be something I am missing on your solution Joe. When I put in a cabinet and make it angled front it still looks rectangular. Same when I have back match front. Haven't used angle front before and would like to learn what I am missing. Thanks!!
