  1. I think that is the step that you are missing JC.
  2. Back at office, accessed new site by typing in CHIEFTALK.COM, and on the home computer, I typed in CHIEFTALK.COM and that one went to old forum. (done in safari) Just another example of the inconsistencies in my computer world......... and I ain't even go to the WOOD FLOOR OVER CONCRETE GARAGE issues...... I spent so much time on that, and I still can't quite figure it out. If I am using Google chrome, I go to old web site on office mac. On PC both IE and Google Chrome take me to old web site using chief talk.com On PC both IE and Google Chrome take me to new web site using chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com ( as Glenn stated) So it is only on office mac using safari that chief talk.com goes to new site. So on the mac at office I do not know how to get to old site.
  3. I am on home computer, using safari, new window in safari, type in CHIEFTALK, takes me straight to the old forum, from there I can get to new forum. So if I am on home computer, I open a new browser window, how do I go straight to new forum? When I get to the office in AM I will see how that works on Safari, I am assuming if I type in CHIEFTALK in new browser window using Safari on office mac, it will take me to new forum and not the old forum. Two computers doing two differdent things, what's new? I got on my iphone today and if I go to contacts to look up a number, I no longer get the keyboard to type in name...... I have to scroll down to find contact....... I think I am cursed.....
  4. Yep, not working for me either.
  5. Appreciate that, but how do we get there? Thanks.
  6. This is nutty, come on CA, at least let us get a chance to go back to old forum to review past posts. We don't need to post, we just want to get there to find older info, thank you, thank you very much.
  7. Sorry about that Tommy, I thought the question had been answered. Here is the answer. In layout I use the %box_scale% in the layout label, something Perry introduced me to. I love it, the scale remains constant. Prior to that I used the %scale% , this I used the the PLAN FILE, not the LAYOUT. If you use the %scale% in your PLAN FILE, you will now see the scale change as you zoom in and out. I believe this is what you are looking for.
  8. Glenn, if you teach me, I will make a vid.
  9. Joe, I was thinking Tommy's option was still there. And im with you, I don't understand how he would use it, but what ever floats his boat.
  10. You can select them all and then raise all at one time. Don't know what layer they are on, but lock all layers except that one, group select and raise all at once. I assume you know all that. I'm still thinking on this.......
  11. It's the Perry method, and I too like it better.
  12. Of course, you do realize you can extend multiple lookouts by using the extend and fence tools, but yes, not auto. Simple gable roofs easy, throw in some hips or an entire hip roof, and a lot more work.
  13. Aha, an easy answer. The size of that text is controlled by the layer the box is on. If you want that box to have a different size text than any other box in your plan, put the box on it own unique layer and DEFINE THE TEXT SIZE FOR THAT LAYER in the LAYER DISPLAY OPTIONS DBX. Remember, the only thing that controls that text size is the layer that it is on. Can I get a star for that answer? By the way, good question, I do not think I realized the answer until you asked the question (I am always a few years behind everybody else).
  14. You say that you are using roof blocking, but it was my experience that the roof blocking would be discontinuous at each truss or rafter. I am assuming that is the issue Graehe was having. Are you using roof blocking and if so, why does your roof blocking remain continuous without a break at each truss?
  15. Has anybody tried a roof plane with a zero pitch but the base line has an angle? I don't know why, but the rafters build parallel to the ground. I assumed the rafters would build differently. I have never used a PITCHED ROOF BASELINE. Why and where would someone want to pitch the baseline, and if you find a reason to build the pitched baseline, wouldn't you want the rafters to build differently than they do?
  16. This is correct, I was trying the auto build with my ANGLED BASELINE, no go........ just wait..... GW will prove me wrong.
  17. You can get auto purlins/lookouts and then extend using the extend tool and fence tool.
  18. Nice job Bill..... I did not think of that. I gave you a point.
  19. I don't think so. Cannot copy bays. Alan, where do you go snowboarding? I like to go to Solitude. Great snow in Utah, and i can be on the slopes by noon if I fly from San Diego.
  20. I think it is a macro, so you must puff a text block with the macro in each room.
  21. Change from AUTO DOOR to NOT AN AUTO DOOR
  22. Perry's post #3 I believe is the correct answer. I just wish he had told me about this 7 years ago.
  23. I gotta say Steve, I don't get the track pad. I can't stand using the track pad on my laptop. Is using a stand alone track pad that much better? I used a Kensington roller ball for a period of time during a bad bout of MS, but when that cleared up I went back to the mouse.
