My plan view contains 2 window label on some of the windows. The second number conflicts with windows, which are different. I did orginally produce this on CAX8 and have now upgraded to CAX9.

Thanks. I had never noticed the draw order icon that existing in CAX8. I've always use the polyline or line specification box adjust the drawings order. The drawing group has changed in the recent X9, I'm getting my head around Drawing Groups meaning.

How do I move CAD lines forward or into the background? This option has disappeared from the line and polyline options for the CAX9 beta. Rob White

Yes that's how I understood it, but I have done that and it is still not listed in the Cad Block Management.

Is there way to show the window number and window size on the floor plan, as generated by the window schedule? At the moment with the window schedule opened I only have the number displayed in the plan view.I can get the window size displayed if I delete the number labels from the schedule. I would like to retain the number lable and alos dispay the size. Rob

Thanks everyone, I had hoped there was another setting, to retain to actual louvre and frame size, but reducing the frame and louvre blade to look right is a reasonable outcome.
-
I am having trouble displaying the right number of louvre with the frame size. I have 152mm louvre blades, so in a 651mm high frame (standard manufactutuers size) I should have 4 louvre blades, but i can only get 3 louvres displayed. I have even zeroed the frame and sash to try and get chief to display it correctly. Still only 3 blades on the schedule. The attache screen print may help see what I am doing or not doing. Does anyone know how I can correct this? Using Chief 18. Rob

I have attached the plan file. Open Section AA (of the elevations) to see the issue of the eave sheet positioned lower than the fascia line. Appreicate any tips to raise the eave sheet match the fascia line Rob Sample Plan - Eave height adjustment.plan

How do I raise the eave sheet. I thought this happened automatically. When I reduce the roof overhang from 600 to 550 the eave sheet is staying at the same level. How do I raise the eave sheet or set it automatically to adjust relevative to the overhang. See the attached I use chief X8 Roof Roof Eave.pdf

Is there an method within the cabinet menu to create an island base cabinet with a 200-300 overhand on the back and sides but with the standard 25mm (1") front overhang? I can only find a tab in the cabinet menu that increases the overhang on all faces. There is also a tab that allows flat sides or back, but not the fronts. I use Chief 18 Rob

Chief X8 user. How do I change the roof material from tile to corrugation steel. I understand of the material and have the product. The programme defaults to tile but I need corrugated. Previous version had the roof cover under material in the roof plane specification menu, but version 18 has roof plane (under the material tab), but only has the options for fascia and soffit/eaves. How do I change the roof plan material. Rob

I use Chief 18. How do you get rib of the small wall frame return to the internal sliding door as per the attached image. In previous versions I had eliminated the return so the sliding door was flush with the opposing wall, but I am not sure how I did it. Any suggestion? Rob

Chief X8 - how you do use lower case for room labels? This seems to have changed for X7, which provided a ticked box in the room Specification menu.

It seems on CA17 using the standard balustrade I cannot a bottom rail. I see there a tick box to add the rail a landing. Is there a method for this. I seem to remember doing this on earlier version.

Just another piece on info. The wall cover in the room menu must not be used in order for wall height to be edited in elevation views. This caused a little frustration but more so a sign once i managed to work it out. Mind you before working it out I had produce a whole partition system in sketchup. Now I have both!

Is it possible to run the base board on cabinet kickboards. I need to run coving at the junction of all vertical to floor connections. If I set it up as base moulding in the room menu it only generates on the walls not the cabinet base Any hints Rob.

I am attempting to draw toilet partitioning. I seems to work well expect when I raise the door 150mm (6") off the floor the to create an opening/gap below the door, the wall automatically generate wall panel under the door so there is no gap. Is there a method to retain the gap? Using CA X7
