  1. Ah-HA! of course it was something that easy. Seems a little counter intuitive etc as you have to switch to joists, change, then switch back. But it worked, much appreciated, thank you.
  2. Hey there folks, having some issues with my floor truss's and the Truss Direction label isnt reporting the right size. This is probably something really simple, what am i missing here?
  3. I think I'm having a similar issue. When doing RSI calcs in excel, i do a print screen and past into a CAD detail. I used to be able to save that pasted image to the library, now i cant. Thoughts?
  4. This is how I ended up solving this problem, works great. Keep in mind all your terrain features will have to be on that level as well.
  5. My first guess would be that sometimes with a new install you need to re-adjust your power settings. Make sure its not set to "Power Saving" and set to "Performance" Maybe?
  6. Mac's haven't been very compatible with CAD software for pretty much.. forever.. how are you surprised? Mac salesperson: Its not upgradable, will always be a hassle, only compatible with other apple products, but hey.... its white and glossy! Mac userbase: Also that machine is probably still super capable for almost anything except X17, far from "obsolete". Just the usual unwanted $0.02 from a former mac user that's made the switch. Make the switch and never worry about your PC again.
  7. So this is all happening with macros etc? Ive tried figuring this out but some items dont really report back what you need without customizing every label. If only my employer believed in saving time with templates *facepalm* I'd pay outa pocket for some extensive macro training, but unfortunately cant do the whole system outa my pocket hah.
  8. not shown in the video but reference item being auto labelled via the arrows, thats a big one.
  9. Thanks for the reply Chris I was trying to get the joists to break & lap over the beam underneath and keep to 12' boards for the build. I did end up making things work by making a foundation level under the deck room and used the bearing lines where i wanted the break. When it was just a deck on level 1 without the lower level, the joists weren't breaking over the beam, with or without bearing lines etc.
  10. has anyone gotten this to work? what about on a deck? my joists are building in at 20' long and i want to split them to max 12' boards etc.
  11. Id love to hear peoples thoughts on this also. This would be such a handy feature if I knew more about using it.
  12. "workstation" computers in general seem like a scam these days, unfortunately I've heard nothing good about those ada RTX 3000 etc cards. Good luck.
  13. I think this is the way to go, or at least how i fixed this last time i came across it. If all else fails...
  14. sure... but i also have spent plenty of time trying to figure this out myself already, i came here for an answer, not a cryptic picture that shows nothing with no explanation at all and if you look thru his posts they are mostly all like this with some cheeky attitude then someone else actually explaining it. If i want training, i'll pay someone polite that actually shows a history of helping people instead of one cryptic post after the other. Ive been thru trade school and 4 years of college otherwise, the best teachers were the ones who took the time and explained things clearly, the worst were the cryptic buttheads who made you struggle and guess and waste time. Same goes for online. Look at his post up top, and tell me you get ANYTHING from it. Now if anyone has something actually constructive to add to this that would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise i think i have the wall fixed up
