and floor surfaces is turned on in the framing view but no plywood subfloor shows. Apparently my setting are jacked up?

You are very right guys, I just noticed that I never built the FDN before I got back on the forum, duh! So, if this is a crawl space on pilings I wont' need stem walls, it will all be open, Maybe dressed up with lattice. How do I manipulate the fdn to suit this? Basically, I need to show double 2x12's for my rim joists and delete the stem walls and draw in manually what I need. Is that the best route to take?

Guys, It has been awhile since I had a home with a floor joist system. "Build framing" will not give me the option to bring in the floor joists. What am I missing? I set up the defaults to suit in each room in the structure dbx. Thanks, plan attached. Hill Residence.plan

Here is an example of how I did mine for the wife (plan file attached). Obviously, the finished product came out alot different once I made impromptu changes during the build. I used CA for material takeoff mainly. tash shed.plan

Latest request.........builders love the door and window schedules for ordering purposes but framers hate flipping pages or even looking to the right and searching the schedule for door numbers then sizes when they are rolling with the framing. Is there a way to add the door and window schedules but instead of a D10 or a W20 (examples) can the numbers be the door sizes (label) on the floorplan?

Thanks for the input guys. Never a dull moment with these homes.

I like that small gable curve.

Agree, I will talk to the builder and see what he thinks. Canted roof eaves is one thing but curved seems a little nutty.
-
haha....should I upload another profile pic? oooooo yeahhhhhh!

curved roof check box. How have I never seen that lol?
-
It almost looks as if it's the gutter shape that makes the curved illusion.
-
So I was sent this as an example someone wants to do on their home. How would you guys tackle the curvature?

Yeah, all of this info is WAY above my pay grade lol. That's some Good Will Hunting type shiznit.

This has been discussed here before but I lost my sq foot calc that comes in below the floorplan. I did a plan check and it is not coming back in. Room label layer is turned on as well. I have ran a plan check in the past on other jobs and it worked then but not this time. Any suggestions?

i have had a few suggestions for other companies on here I am going to look into. They aren't as close but I need better prints.

that's a real good price!

$12 bucks a sheet here for color. I do it all B/W but their ink settings suck. A black and white rendering can be nice too. Staples proved that when I used them a few years back but they are $3 a sheet for B/W. I average 18 sheets for houseplans for normal sized homes.

Guys, I like to utilize fill style a lot on my plans. When I print to pdf is looks really good (shown below.) My print shop will get these ready and they are all blacked out. My walls and shelves have no transparency etc. Shouldn't their printer print the shades per my pdf document? I really want to get my own 24X36 plotter. On all of my plans I do, I like to add a colored rendering of an isometric view of the home on sheet one title page. Those look like crap too from their printer but perfect on the pdf.

I started a thread on this a couple weeks ago. Search AMD driver issues.

yeah, I found a decent molding type under the manufacturer catalog. Do we have to manually draw the profiles otherwise and add to the library?
