  1. What I sent on the picture is what I wanted to do. Got it figured out. Thank you and I look forward to our next goto meeting.
  2. I think I'm more confused now. Your welcome to do a video for me to explain it.

  5. Let me tell you what I am trying to do; I want to edit the default settings for the post with footing tool under the general framing tools. I edited one of them manually in the section and that is in the attached picture with the circle around it. But I cant seem to get what I want as a default when I place them under the girder beam. HELP!
  6. I don't know how this maximum separation is used. Can anyone enlighten me on this? Also it wont let me change the depth.
  7. One nail wont work you need to use two nails.
  8. Thanks Scott I will take the red mark, green mark, yellow mark..... as long as I get some sort of attention here so I don't feel left out. As for this discussion for some reason I don't have any problems with linking and un-linking and cleaning up the files to make template out of them. My problem is I can't really tell you how I do it I just do it. I seem to make thinks work some how. Everyone on the forum has helped me so much that I am very pleased with my new automatic & live plan setup. Very efficient! Maybe I will have to do a video on it soon and share what I have learned with the rest of the world. Its still a drop in the bucket of what can be done with CA but its much better. You brainy-acks are still way over my head.
  9. Isn't that what this "Referenced Plan File" dbx is for? To see what the layout file is connected to?
  10. Here is the direct link you need http://www.chiefarch...is-Rotated.html
  11. Much better. After I watched the video and whent back to read the info you gave in your post it all made sense at that point thank you. I think I may design a haunted house for Halloween now. Boo!!!
  12. The video in my last post is what I needed. Thank you for very much for your help!

  14. Thank you, this is exactly what I needed
  15. I'm moving through the interior of the house using the mouse-dolly camera. It appears that you are doing something totally different. I reduced my frame rate to one because it was going thru the house to fast. I guess I need to figure out the terminology also. I need lesson 101.
  16. That happened to me before and I had to delete the roof and rebuild it and it was fine after but I'm not sure what caused it. Hopefully someone will post that knows how this happens.
  17. Do you know what the compression is? Not sure what that is used for?
  18. I just started using the walk through tool today. When I play it back it plays to fast. Anyway to slow it down? Also are there any good video anyone can suggest to learn how to do good walkthrough presentations?
  19. Then you turn both of them off. But that may be ok because I don't usually use the total living space anyway. Thank you that is a good idea
  20. Yes, confused but getting closer. I guess actually seeing something in action might connect the dots.
  21. Maybe Joe just had a "Brain Fart". He's very intelligent but still is allowed to make a mistake once and a while.
  22. I will see how that good works. Thanks
  23. You should be asking this question in the "question and answers" section. The response will be better.
  24. Wow! That made me feel a little useful. Thanks
