I see but it also occurs on the CMU wall left of the porch. So i want the concrete porch (wall defining it) to be larger than the beam above that carries the roof trusses. That means the soffit needs to be slightly wider than the normal 24" on typical walls. This situation is typical when you have wide column bases. Most porches need to be larger than the beam outline above.
-
Thanks Shane for pointing that out.
-
That did the trick Eric, Thanks While we are at it the front hip soffit is not building correctly. Both front hips it looks like.
-
Sorry it is a rather large file.

By "LOCK" the ceiling joist do you mean Lock the layer?

I always have issues with the porch floor materials. This is with or without a roof. The paint tool paints the interior but not the margins where the wall would go. Am I using the wrong wall type for room divider? I have set the wall type to Room Divider but when created Chief changes it to "Interior-4" Porch Demo.plan

Thanks Perry, So under Defaults/Framing check Auto framing? Yes it built the joist, so now I can turn that off and no more changes will occur?
-
Plan attached. Why is the ceiling joist not framing on this plan? Thanks Barn.zip

Thanks Eric, this is the first time I've had the corner problem with material regions.
-
Thank's for that Eric. I'll add to my Lib. That limits the use of Material regions.

Well tile is "applied" to the drywall surface. Here in Florida a Mirror is "applied" to the drywall surface in a similar way. They use a black mastic applied to the drywall & the sheet of glass is pushed into it. I could use the beveled mirror but the glass is often not beveled. I'll look in the library. That is quite an involved process simply to align two walls
-
Working with the little house I have two issues in the Master bath. One with the mirror crossing over two wall types. The mirror on the frame wall wants to sink into the drywall so much that it is not visible on the block wall. I aligned the drywall plane bet I could but maybe that is still the issue. I added a mirror on both areas but the line between them is too obvious. How do you align the drywall surfaces perfectly? The other issue is the corner in the dropped shower. The wall tile material will not join in the corner. Thanks for any enlightenment Gulfport.zip

I don't understand their reluctance. AutoCAD has exposed almost everything. That includes VBA, VB, C++, Java, Pearl, and a host of other languages professional programmers may prefer. That has existed for decades, yes decades. I for one do not get their business model. They spend too much time on the occasional user

It is shocking how weak Ruby is in its current state. Just more evidence that the developers are more interested in casual users vs the professional users that could benefit from more versatile tools. You should be able to build a macro that can detect which room it is in. Thanks for all the help to figure this out!
-
Yes, changing to Level 1 eliminated the error. Is that a safe level to run all the time?
-
Opened another plan and loaded the macro but message is slightly different.
-
Thanks Joe, got the other files & put them in the folder. See the attached error, I reloaded the Ceiling json macro after deleting it.
-
Joe, yours is still not working. Looking at the code cRequired = ["Float Class.rb", "Hash Class.rb", "DwgUnits.rb"] I only have Float Class.rb in my Scrips folder
-
I think Eric nailed it with the "Owner Object", so I have it working. Also why do the built in macro's work in Mtext & Text for room labels and this one won't?
-
Well I started a plan from template, one room Got the following
-
I've got both Mtext & a Text label, both evaluation error. So what is the issue with Mtext?
-
I must be doing something wrong. If I manual paste the macro I get an evaluation error. BTW I added to my Mtext & Default room label and same error
-
Loaded the Macro but it does not validate & is greyed out. I'm still finding my way with these macro's. No rush as I;m putting out fires on another project this morning.
-
Thanks Joe and have fun. That's what it's all about.

I have the Yearly subscription json files but do not see %Ceiling Height Label% macro What is the name of the json file that contains that? Was it a separate purchase?
