Joe I have tried all of these things and might be missing the obvious , but I am not seeing the text control I don't see a "Camera Label Style"

Has x7 been scheduled? How often do new releases come out?

I want to send the plan view out to layout without these "big symbol bugs"

On the floor plan I can choose which wall to elevate with the wall elevation tool, which places a symbol that represents where the section/elevation is taken from. These things in the red circle. I don't know what Chief calls them.

Is there a control for line weights for section cuts or to make prominent edges darker? By prominent I mean like an edge of a counter or roof line with air behind to simulate depth. What I am use to is Sketchup and Archicad that have depth ques such as fog that make lines thicker when there is more distance between objects of a section or an elevation or even a 3d view.

How can I change the wall Elevation symbol, make it smaller, or remove it? I have tried to turn layers off, but nothing. I have tried settings but now I need help please.

That is what I thought, but Chief must have been misbehaving on me as I changed on to glass, but they all changed. Then latter I did another to change both, but only one changed so I had two different doors in one cabinet. It is not completely reliable.

In commercial architecture we did 1/4" scale elevations with shelves dashed as standard. We also did 1 1/2" scale detailed sections through cabinets to show dims. It would be nice to have the option to show what Chief so carefully builds for us.

I have measured two 250,000 sf manufacturing plants in my previous career and have a leather nail pouch to hold colored pens, two tape measures (30' & 100') and a grease rag to wipe hands. then I carried a clip board.

Really? What is the point of Chief automatically building them if there is no option to see them without glass.

I do not want it to be glass. Bone is correct. And that is its assignment. The elevation is wrong.

Normally I would show dashed lines for shelves on an interior elevation behind cabinet doors. I do not see a way in layers to do this. How is this done?

I have two door styles in one wall cabinet. the upper one has glass. How do I make them different without using two stacked cabinets?

Doh! Found it. Clicked on the open cabinet face and the dialog box changes its info for adjusting shelves.

I do not yet see a way to control the number of shelves or thickness of shelves in wall cabinets. I am in the process of creating cubby-hole shelves in a dressing room using wall cabinets. I want 30" high, but with only 1 shelf. I would like to make it 1.5" thick. Any ideas?

It has been mentioned before in another thread, "Redstick" SiteCAD on iPad or on Android is a good tool to document a measured house. The have three version levels. The more you pay the more advanced features you get. it works on a phone, but not recommended as it is too small. All measured drawings can be emailed to self as a DWG and imported to Chief. It has very good reviews as an app. It is more useful tool than room planner and easier to use. This one actually IS fun to use. http://www.redstickcad.com/products.html

I am consuming the RM and videos as fast as I have time for, but it also good to know when I reached the limits of the app or when I have "hit a wall". I do know about Shift click and did that, but I do not want to miss an opportunity to work more effectively. I am beginning to appreciate the pre-set defaults, but even if I miss a few, I am already working faster than before. Sometimes I learn something and cannot remember where it was or how to find it. One day at a time.

I placed several door and windows then mad some changes to window and door defaults, but the existing openings did not change. How do I make the updates apply to all?

The problem of three singles stuck together is the styles are doubled. I am using inset-framed. Our shop builds custom pieces to size and would prefer a single 90" over (3) 30" in some applications.
