Thanks Scott ... I didn't spend much time on ChiefTalk yesterday and didn't see the other thread. If this is part of all the new and improved security that is being implemented, it is a little annoying to have to do this.

Late yesterday I was working in a project that I planned to finnish up today ... blocking some objects ... when the following dialog box popped up: I clicked on Cancel or the X to close the dialog and was able to continue working with Chief so I didn't think too much of it. My SSA has always expired at the end of February. Today, in trying to open CA X6, the same dialog popped up with the results shown in the image below: I have a BUNCH of work I was planning to complete this weekend and I cannot afford to be without Chief functioning as it should. I renewed my SSA in December to take advantage of the price break offering. Someone inside Chief's sales department has obviously dropped the ball and didn't upgrade my membership such that my records show that I am "paid up" and that my SSA is good for another year! Either that or there's some glitch in the programming or whatever techniques are used to update users' SSA membership. It seems to me that even if I didn't upgrade my SSA, that I should still be able to use X6. What on earth is happening here???? This is CRITICAL for me to get this fixed NOW!!! I don't care who has to go down to the office and make the change THIS MORNING ... Scott Harris... or ??? or ??? .... someone needs to go down and get my membership reactivated as it should have been in the first place. I would use some explitives to show how happy I am but will refrain from doing that under the assumption that one of the moderators will take the bull by the horns and make a call to whoever has responsibility in this area. If this is or starts happening to many other Chief users, you're going to have a bunch of very happy campers to deal with. Hopefully (for others), I am the only "lucky one". Thank you.

Larry: I haven't tried to post a Dropbox link but have posted several images and everything worked OK. I actually think the forum is working quite well. I think the refinements to attaching images, etc. is much easier. I guess I haven't paid enough attention to that aspect to see if we will each have easy access to all the images we post other than being able to search and find the thread/post where we did it. I will have to check out the menus in a little more depth to see what else is different. As with others, I am not happy about losing access to many good threads that go back several years on the old ChiefTalk forumn.

Is that a door handle from the core library or somewhere else? If I use the one in CA's library, it displays correctly. Maybe you have a symbol that is messed up.

Nice ... thanks.

Thanks for sharing. I am downloading them now. I sure wish Chief had a way to internally provide bumpmaps for textures.

Icons for .plan, .layout, .calib and .calibz
CJSpud replied to brinkbart's topic in Symbols and Content
I totally agree ... layout and plan file icons do look too much alike. Great idea! -
Do a thread search on "Creating Fill/Hatch Patterns". This is a thread that Joe Carrick started in the Q&A forum of the legacy ChiefTalk that may have some information that you find helpful. Thanks Joe. Edit: I see Kevin and I are on the same page with recommendations.

Glenn: I suppose they could be used for that, or possibly canned goods or any number of other things. Like I said, I have never seen that style used anywhere. I even went online and did some searching and couldn't find anything similar.

I am curious as to what those angled inserts would be used for. I don't study or do a lot of cabinets research but I don't recall seeing those used before.

May I ask how you go about overlaying one color over another color (gray over the red vertical siding)? Is this a photo editing step outside of Chief or can it be done within Chief. I have manipulated material colors many times in the past but I have never done, nor do I know how to do, what you are suggesting. Thanks.

I FINALLY MADE IT HERE .... WHOOPEE! I don't know who fixed what, but thanks. I am happy now.
