I built a kitchen island with standard 24" deep cabinets on the front and I have butted 18" cabinets to the back of them to give me a 42" deep island without the eating area overhang. On the ends in both vector or elevation view you see the separation line between the back of the cabinets. I have both cabinet with a flat back with the toe kick and the countertop overhang. Again, it minor but I don't want my install crew to think there are two end panels butting together there to create a seam.

Shower Doors or a better way to create/mod a shower door with something like cabinet attributes. A real pain to design since all my bathroom projects are different. Have a folder of many that I have created, but still even have to modify to some degree based on layout/size and it is cumbersome. I have created an extensive kohler library separated by collection over the years. If I know how to take it and add it here for use, I would.
Also would like to see Delta, Moen, Am Standard, etc. Not a whole lot to even import with those mfg's.
Appliances like GE, Wpool, KA, etc. Progress lighting, Kichler, Maxim, Hampton Bay, Seagull. Amerock, Belwith Keeler.
I 2nd, 3rd and 4th that recommendation !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I searched the forum and found the subject and someone said Chief had a curved bottom starter stair tread. Does anyone know where it is. I did a library search for tread, starter and starter tread and found nothing

Ok. same as doing a tile backsplash using PS

I saw the ones on 3d WH but they were were more the European style. Ive never tried to apply the pic to a PSolid then convert to symbol. will try to figure out how to do that. thanks

I normally would not design the seperate boxes but in this case these are switches were not touching and I like to get my rendering as close as possible to what they have. Any idea about the bounding box offset?

Yes. Thanks Dennis. That magazine rack was the selling point of the project

Hopefully I can explain this clearly. This has been an issue for several versions as far back as I can remember. When placing switches on a wall and viewing them in camera view the switch and bounding box never line up with each other which makes it tricky to position them where i need them. I could see this with an imported symbol but these are core symbols. Also like in the attached photo, there are two separate 2 gang switch boxes and when I attempt to move them into the correct location and get 6-8" from each other they will snap together and create a single 4 gang box. The same thing happens with outlets and like the switches they will actually overlap and sit on top of each other. Is this a snap issue where they merge together? I wouldn't think a snap issue would not make the symbol and it's bounding box offset from each other. These are currently in X7
Thanks as always

We have started using the Legrand line of switches/ outlets, etc. I've looked on 3D WH and found a few symbols for they are mostly for European countries. Has anyone ran acroos or made any of these symbols. Ive attached a few pics from their lineup. Also the website is http://www.legrand.us/adorne.aspx
Thanks Rob

I am unfamiliar with the clear shortcut you speak of. Can you elaborate? I searched clipboard in the Windows search bar but that came up empty. Any help would be appreciated.
C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c "echo off | clip"

Are you saying you need this new addition to be raised approx 11" from its current position.

Bow Window Issue
in General Q & A
Posted
Ive seem to always have issues with bow window editing. I place the bow into the wall then in camera view select the unit then adjust the width, depth and how many windows make up the bow. I can never get the windows to size correctly or to connect without any framing between the windows. I have "No Framing Between Components" checked. When I tab to select a single window, I can adjust the window type, casings, heights, etc. but the width will not change. The actual windows are 21" wide but the max width it will allow is 10". I even tried to change the framing defaults with no luck. It shouldn't be that hard to do as these types of single bow window units are common. Any ideas? thanks
