I have been using the 3060 for many months now and --no problems with RTRT.

I think that cabinets are the most versatile tool Chief has. You can do almost everything using the cabinet tool. You should see how Rene uses it for fireplaces.

thanks Larry, I didn't know that, or it could be a bug

I have always used two separate plans 1 for existing as-built and the other for the existing plus new. Just copy the as-built plan and re-name to new, then use the as-built as a reference plan under the new plan then when you remove any wall the as -built will show up automatically. just make sure the as built plan has is own layerset showing what you want to show.

I print at 300dpi using Adobe DC pro and every job is 50 to 100mb, so I have to use Adobe cloud service to send links instead of plans

Ooh, Ooh! Closer yet. Do you know how to control the first number?
I am getting A1.1 instead of A1.0 - Coversheet, then A1.1 - Architectural Notes, A1.2 - who knows.
Then I will create a set of A2.# for plans and elevations.
Another template for Structural Sheets e.g. S1.0 and on as above.
Then another for MEP and another for schedules, etc. depending on if it is a home or a business.
So far my record is a building at 130 North Main St, Butte, MT 59701. It is the old Hennessy Building, original plans printed in 1895. 6 stories at 16,000 sf per floor plus a basement and 7 levels of underground parking. If there is one thing we know how to do in Butte, it is dig holes.
Thanks for the terrific help. I will continue to get to where the digit after the decimal point can start with zero.
You have been great and Karma shall solve your digital issues.

make sure the "0" page, template sheet is not included in the mix and not the first page. to do this just uncheck "included in page layout" in the page info.

Larry, I have been doing the same since the beginning of time

I typically don't use Live View in Layout as the PDF Size EXPLODES exponentially, a recent example was 22.3mb without and 52.7mb with , ( so it can't be emailed any longer) but you are correct , the Views in PDF do look nicer even STD View with Lines as in the example above looked nicer than in Layout.
The above was some Preset Cameras for Client Views that could be opened 1 by 1 for Viewing but IMHO.... ASTRAL 3D and RTRT just ain't there yet.
M.
I keep everything live except RTRT of course ,then you have to send a picture view, and not live, I wish we could send a live view, right now it does not turn out well.

I never downvote. I would never use it because anonymous downvoting is cowardly.
Now hit me with them Reddies
be careful, one time I asked for downvotes to see what happens, it got me kicked off the forum.

I know that the RTRT views actually Print much better than they look on the computer screen, have you tried to actually print to "PDF". Not sure but it works for me.

Is your color button icon on? Do you tell it to print in color? to get a white background just use a white color. Sorry I miss-read your post.
-
make sure you have done all the Alienware & windows 11 & Nvidia updates also.
-
you can also just continue the wall through the opening and use an opening no casing or jamb for the opening, that way it's a real wall separating the two rooms
-
all my exterior walls are on the walls normal layer
-
Is your auto attic walls on or off. they need to be on auto to get them on the attic wall layer
-
yes the wall type will follow the wall below, but any auto attic wall will be places on the walls attic layer. If no wall exists below the attic wall then it will not generate an attic wall
-
walls attic, at least I can turn them off in plan view easily. I don't think there is a default for that.
-
try this, Change the conc. foundation wall to to designate it as framing and not concrete. by doing this, I can get the brick ledge even for stucco to go down 2" below the bottom plate line. maybe it will work in your condition. Why does it work, I don't know?
-
In the first white railings the spindles are spaced too far apart for code. I would not buy a house like that, too many level changes, but I'm old, and everyone will get there someday.
-
I use many different layers like walls normal, walls interior, walls no show on plan, Same for railings, interior, exterior. It makes it a lot easier to select the group of walls. You can set all the walls to go to any layer you want in the wall defaults.

You might try a ceiling plane slopped the same as the roof but installed lower than the roof. of course, remove the drywall under the roof. the ceiling plane has its own framing to make any size and direction you need.
Bravo Chief!

What I like about the remodeling aspect is you can reference the existing plan on your elevations, and it will show existing window and door locations that you might seal up on the elevations, show the patch area.
