ChiefMC
I hope this is something simple that I am missing.... There have been instances where I need to show a closet shelf & rod dying into a 45 degree wall. Can someone point me in the right direction on how to clip off a corner of a shelf or any object for that matter? Thanks!
Chopsaw
There will likely be many correct answers to you question but if you need to show a detail like that you may want to switch to using a polyline solid which gives many more options for shape. The rod would be a little more difficult but could be done with a Cylinder. Is it an inside or outside corner? You could just show an end cap (Partition) and let the carpenter decide if he wants to build into the corner. There is some intelligent discussion about 45 degree shelves in this post but even I do not understand how it was accomplished so maybe if you were to ask then we would all know. https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/index.php?/topic/3443-shelf-and-rod-suggestion/?hl=shelf
johnny
MC - good question. You are right, a serious limitation to the shelve tool.
Joe_Carrick
Try using the CounterTop Tool instead. But I agree that any such object - including Cabinets - should be able to be "back angled".
