JamieD
Hello Forum, I'm new to Chief Architect and have purchased the X7 version. I wanted to inquire if anyone might have a solution for converting files from X8 to X7 to view and edit files - or would you have to upgrade? Thanks all, looking forward to hearing from you. joey_martin
You can't. Chief files cannot go backwards. If you have files created in X8, they cannot be viewed in x7.
JamieD
Thanks for the reply, can you comment at all on the X8 edition? Is it a worthwhile upgrade?
DRAWZILLA
Best release in many years, X8 really make my job a lot easier and runs very smooth.
mtldesigns
The best part of X8 is the 3D mouse capabilities. The walk thru's are so natural now.

Greg_NY61
Perry, you will definitely enjoy that mouse, I been using it for about 3-4 years and I don't know how I did it without it. It's a whole ball game changer.
DRAWZILLA
Thanks Greg, I think it will be great for my client videos I do. Unfortunately my wife will put the kabash on it until my birthday so I will have to find another way. She always says I have everything, so she want to surprise me --some surprise.
