Joe_Carrick
The Exterior Room Label - usually Living Area - only reports the total area of those room that are defined as Include in Living Area. This means that it will not include Garages, Courts, Porches, Decks, or Balconies. So you can rely on that Area in the Exterior Room Label to accurately report that Floors' Living Area. DRAWZILLA
You can change each type of room to include or not include in the living area. You can also move the living area p-line how you want.
Joe_Carrick
There is also a Chief Global Macro Plan > %Living Area% that can be inserted in any Text Box to display the Living Area of the Current Floor.
builtright3
I don't understand why the automatic settings with CA puts a living area label with sq. ft. "0" for a detached garage when it doesn't have living space?
Kbird1
Not sure , perhaps so you know it isn't included but more likely cos you probably can't have one without the other. Can't you just delete it ?

Can't you just delete it ? Its not a big issue. Just curious to see if anyone knew something that I didn't. I delete it and as I'm working on the plan its pops up every so often and I have to remember to delete it again before it goes out to print. jscussel
You can put it on a different layer and turn it off. Jon

builtright3
Joey, You can also turn it off here. Living Area 2015-06-04_20-36-16.jpg Jon Then you turn both of them off. But that may be ok because I don't usually use the total living space anyway. Thank you that is a good idea
Joe_Carrick
Instead of than turning them off.... Make the text size 1" and it's color white. Also, lock the Layer. That way, it's there if you ever need it (maybe to add a macro) but it doesn't get in the way.
