X18 - Cannot Copy/Paste from Older Versions into X18

I used to be able to copy notes (keynotes) from older Chief versions into newer versions in order to quickly populate my note schedules.  Does not work anymore.

 

For example, I could open an X16 project, grab all my demolition notes and copy / paste them into a new X17 project.  Just tried this X17 to X18 and it does not work.  Anybody notice this?

Why not put them in the User Library?  Another option would be Text Macros.

Good idea -- I'll look into that for the long term.

 

Just curious about possible loss of this copy/paste ability.  I might report to Chief so they can review.  Seems to work with text objects, but not notes.

Jim, if you close and restart Chief - does that solve the problem?

Noticed this behavior yesterday. Opened the file I wanted to copy from in X18 and then did the copy paste. Just be careful not to save the copy file in X18.

I think so.  Tech Support followed up with me today.  They weren't able to replicate the problem and neither could I.  If it pops up again, I'll send it in for review.
