My file size is already 200M and I'm concerned that adding all the sheets that I need with all the camera views will make the file unworkable. Are there any strategies that I can use to make the file size less unwieldy? I have 43 spaces, and at an average of 4 views per room I'm looking at 132 views. That seems like a lot. For example, I would get rid of all of your furniture and any other interior decorations. If you need to create any decorated views for marketing or whatever, you can always make a copy of the plan with only the rooms needed and none of the other bloat, so that you can "stage" your views. Or even better, you could take your clean views and use AI to generate the presentation views. You might also want to get rid of any data that was imported into the plan, such as cad, images or pdfs. You can keep things like this and all of your stock details in a separate plan file to keep it out of the main plan file. Your Project File (managed mode)? Your plan file (Unmanaged mode)? If its your project file, this has to do with the texture files being used, and you can limit the number of textures being used if thats the case, but instead of that I would just get used to the process of using a cloud service for file transfers. This will be the norm if you are trying to share with someone that also gives them access to the materials being used. Wetransfer can transfer up to 2gb for free I believe but its fairly cheap to get a dropbox account to handle your projects. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm not concerned with sending the file, only the amount of space it takes and the potential the large file may have on my computer performance. I have an existing plan and proposed plan as well as an optional plan--which I will delete once the clients make up their mind. There is no furniture except for a couple of curtains (which the clients wanted to see) which I will delete. @DB Cooper, Thank you for the article, I'll check it out. I do use WeTransfer also. My concern is that when I add more sheets with the interior elevation views the file will balloon and become unusable. I'm on Windows Pro 11 and below are my system specs. mholley Posted Thursday at 05:24 PM Author Share Posted Thursday at 05:24 PM I'm not sure if this is a result of the file size, but when I exported my *layout file of interior elevations this is what I got. Right side is CA, left is AutoCad- note the nicely placed upside down vanity. I looked at previous replies on that specific topic, and the settings are as recommended. For this project I need to provide DWG backgrounds to an interior designer, so either I export individual views and then place them on a sheet in AutoCad, OR, much more preferable, I export sheets with multiple views from the layout file.
