GeneDavis Posted Friday at 02:22 PM Share Posted Friday at 02:22 PM Examine both roofs in a section view to see which one is more readily raised or lowered, framing-wise. Then open the one you choose as fixed-no-edit, copy its fascia height, close, open other roof for spec, lock its pitch, and past in that fascia height. Done. In a 3D view with roof planes turned on, all framing off, select one or both of the laid-on wings. Do a screencap pic of what you see, and post it here. On the 3D framing view, I was able to use the "join and lap ends" framing tool to get the fascias to join like I want them. It is not carrying over to the 3D full view, nor elevation drawings. Hope that makes sense. @BenPalmer The joining roofs option would work, but for framing/construction purposes, I want to show the shed roof being framed over/on top of the gable roof.
