Doug_N
I have noticed that the files stored in the managed projects are starting to eat up drive space. Is there a way to archive completed projects to get them out of the managed space?
DBCooper Posted yesterday at 01:14 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:14 AM Can't you just export the project, which is supposed to create a complete copy with all of the references, and then delete it? This tech article might help: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-03212/exporting-projects-and-disconnected-files.html

The problem with that is the size of the exported file is enormous. All textures, library objects and lots of other stuff related to the project is also exported. There just has to be a better way. para-CAD
I don’t use chief architects project management system. But yesterday I took all of my archived files which were in dropbox and moved them to two separate external drives so that I could minimize my 380 GB Dropbox folder. I had almost all of that archived set to online only, but I realized, why am I keeping these archived copies from X7 forward? I still don’t understand their project management enough that I would trust using it but some of you have been very successful with it so maybe one day I will take the plunge
