Crosshairs being left behind from Dimensioning

When I am pulling dimensions, there are crosshairs being left behind sporadically.  Doesn't happen all the time and I can't figure out what causes them or how to get rid of them.  I'm assuming they are some kind of point marker, left from manual dimensions, but when I go to CAD/Points/Delete Temp Points, they aren't going away.  I'm on X15, is there a setting or easy fix for this?

Were you using Point to Point dimensioning?

Point to Point Dimensions use Markers as dimension points. It places these markers automatically. They don't have anything to do with Temporary CAD Points. The markers can be selected, and deleted, but then the dimension segment will disappear. They can also be reduced to a tiny, almost invisible size, or made to have an invisible line style. They can also be moved to an independent layer and turn off display of that layer. Or you could use a different dimension tool if one is appropriate.

Great info. I appreciate it.  All of the points on that image are Point to Point.  What might cause some to leave the Markers and others not?

PtP dims will snap to snap points according to the Locate settings in the Dimension's Default settings. Where there is no Marker, the dimension snapped to a snap point on the object. If there is no snap point, it places a Marker, which is unique to PtP dimensions - all other types require a snap point.

Not a fan of these myself because your dimensioning to the point and not the object, but as mentioned above you can reduce the size so its not to obvious.  Here is a video on how to reduce the size of the crosshairs.

Great info, shrunk those suckers down and cleaned up shop drawings.  Thanks all
