ROOF AWNING EXTENSION CHANGES BOX EAVE

Latest project is to add 20' to the rear of this existing shotgun style house for a master bedroom.  In the video I highlight the existing roof and the new.. when I grab the section of the new to pull down for a little awning over the slider, the eave on the existing and new change, even though the settings do not.  Not finding a way to put the eave back to what their supposed to be.  Any ideas?  Should this little awning be its own roof pane?

Hi @mtldesigns My thoughts, are your roofs on separate layers or on the same one ? If not you could try putting the old roof on a new layer “called existing roof” and then see if it still happens. If it still happens then, it’s try something else .

Yes Top Right ! A bit like Florida’s retirement area. Been to Tampa and there about in 99. Nice place.

Check "Higher Eaves Boxed" in your roof dialog and that will fix your issue.  Your extension becomes the lowest eave on that side of the building.
