My PC died and I desperately need to activate the software on a limited laptop .

I understand the usual process of accessing the program on the currently active computer but That is not possible

Is there someway to work around that?

Thanks for any help

Jess

Is the software installed on the laptop? If so you can deactivate the license from the current PC by going to chiefarchitect.com > My Account > Digital Locker, click Make Available, then log in on the laptop.

If it's not installed, install the software first then do the above.

I hop one license between my windows and mac and it's super easy.

Chrisb222 nails it.

On the chief website

Go to License Management and "Deauthorize" your dead machine.

Install Chief on your other machine and use your login "key" to authorize the new device.
