In the box was advertisement for 3D Home Architect...so I purchased it. I used it (and upgrades for years) with Acad. Perfect for what I would use it for. As far as I know the room dialog is just showing you a cross section of a room that is similar to the one you selected. You should be able to create your own view by just creating a back clipped cross section of the room in your plan. You could convert this view to a 2d cad detail or you could keep it live and add dimensions and notes to it. You will have much more control over your own view than you would over the one from the room dialog.
