updated to X17 but lost my User Catalog, can’t make a new one, can not import the old one. If I add a item to library it disappears / never shows.

 

any know what I do / did wrong?

I have the same problem! I can find the old textures only in my X15 library but the User Catalog doesn't even show up in the library browser toolbar - it's just disappeared. Any help appreciated!

You will need to re-migrate.  I'm not sure of the exact steps and you might need to be in PM mode.

Early on I experienced this and here is what Chief suggested:

 

Try this to get your user library into X17.

Open X16
Right Click on your user library and export the library
This will result in an *.calibz file
Import that file into X17.

This should result in your library and all of the referenced files being imported.

Had the same challenge. The library migrated, but most of the images were blank. Went out of PM mode and re-migrated and the images appeared.  Went back into PM mode and they were gone.

I ended up doing as Robert suggests above... exporting the X16 user items I wanted to bring forward to a separate file location, then importing them in X17 library.

 

Because I migrated, I had to delete the problematic files in X17 (which were duplicates, but these were the ones that were blank images). Spent a lot of time sorting it out. 

 

Its functional now - in PM mode.

My files are showing up as jpegs in a materials folder in X15 data but not X16 - they disappeared from there too.  No User folder showing up at all in the library in any version.  I can't add anything at all.  Any help appreciated.
