Ringos
When I go to tools>layout> reference plan files I see multiple plans. Periodically as I am drawing, I "save as" for a backup. Apparently each time I do that CA keeps referencing the previous files. I don't know whether I should or can delete the old ones or should they stay? When I back up entire layout, it includes each of the referenced files. So, I would like to get it down to one which is the current save. Is there some info on this anywhere or a best practices for how to keep just one referenced file?
DavidJPotter
My advice is to trust Chief's programing. It has sustained my business as is since 1994 just fine. DJP
basketballman
Try doing " save " rather than " save as " When you do save as it is creating a new file
DBCooper
When you do a save as, the layout is still linked to the original plan file. If you want the layout to be linked to the new plan file, then relink to it.
